What a great day to start the arrival of Spring with temps in the 50's. Spring is probably my favorite season with all the flowers blooming. This design was impromptu, I didn't know what color scheme I was going to choose. I just chose the flowers that spoke to me at the time. It turned out I have this ceramic vase that I picked up from the thrift store while vacationing in Cape Cod a couple of years ago. Actually, its not really a vase (it's hollow) I think it's some kind of lamp shade. I turned it upside down and voila, it is now a compote vase. Why not? I just placed a plastic container with chicken wire on it. It so happened that the vase kind a match the flowers I chose for the design - talking about serendipity. I wish you could smell the wonderful scent of hyacinths - its intoxicating. To be honest, I didn't use to care about them too much. I now have grown to love and enjoy the scent when it fills the room. Wishing you a wonderful Spring, surrounded by lots of beauty!
